Twitter/@XFINITYSportsPitt knocked off the undefeated Clemson Tigers on a dramatic field goal by Chris Blewitt.Blewitt could have been the scapegoat tonight. He missed an extra point and put a field goal attempt into his lineman’s back earlier in the game. When it mattered most, on a 48-yarder with 12 seconds remaining, and his team trailing 42-40, he came through with a booming, perfect kick.Blewitt didn’t blow it! Pitt leads #2 Clemson in Death Valley with :06 left! https://t.co/ntqEF5Bywo— XFINITY Sports (@XFINITYSports) November 13, 2016The kick comes after a gutsy call by Dabo Swinney to go for it on 4th-and-1 with just under a minute left at the Pitt 35. He ran a pitch to Wayne Gallman, who was swallowed up at the line by the Panthers front. A Nathan Peterman nine-yard scramble and 21 yard completion to Scott Orndoff put Pitt into field goal range. Blewitt connected on what may go down as the biggest kick of his college career.Better delete those jokes you were ready to make, college football Twitter. Blewitt did not, in fact, blow it.
