TeraGo, a provider of cloud, colocation and connectivity services in Canada, has announced that it will commence 5G millimetre wave technical trials in the Greater Toronto Area (“GTA”) and Greater Golden Horseshoe Area in the first quarter of 2020, utilizing equipment from Nokia. The trials will be conducted on the 24 and 38 GHz frequency bands using both ISED developmental licences and TeraGo’s owned licensed spectrum. Following the technical trials, customer trials will then begin in the second quarter of 2020.International momentum for 5G fixed wireless services has been increasing and as a global leader in 5G technology, Nokia’s equipment is at the center of many of these network deployments. In Canada, TeraGo is uniquely positioned to be one of the first operators to launch commercial 5G fixed wireless services as the largest holder of millimetre wave spectrum in the largest urban markets. The ultra-high bandwidth and low latency capabilities offered by 5G will allow TeraGo to deliver new innovative communications solutions to the customers, improve the efficiency of the network, and open new market opportunities for the Company.TeraGo’s fixed wireless spectrum assets include 14 of 20 licences issued in the 24 GHz band and 25 of 27 licences issued in the 38 GHz band, covering 2,210 MHz in Canada’s six largest cities. The Company’s national fixed wireless network is supported by a redundant fibre optic backbone with approximately 600 rooftops across Canada. It plays host to rival Ceres Negros in the 2018 Philippines Football League this afternoon at the Iloilo Sports Complex in La Paz, Iloilo City.Kaya Iloilo head coach Noel Marcaida hopes to extend their five-game winning streak at ISC in their 4 p.m. encounter with the defending champions Ceres Negros.“Regardless of the opponent, we just want to play good football if we are playing at home,” Marcaida said. “We just hope to protect our home field once again against Ceres Negros.”He added: “Actually, the players are already comfortable playing here, the atmosphere is different, the Ilonggos are different, they really know how to appreciate the game.”Aside from its unbeaten run at home, Kaya Iloilo is on a roll recently, including a 4-2 decision over Stallion Laguna on Wednesday where Barotac Nuevo native Jovin Bedic scored a hat trick. “Yung suporta ng Ilonggos ibang klase talaga dito.
