“We know that with our large region there is travel required for various procedures and tests, and being able to offer MRIs to people in the northwest and northeast we can reduce some of the travel burden,” said Cathy Ulrich, Northern Health’s chief executive officer and president. “The 10-year strategy for medical imaging will evolve over time as technology changes and this is a first step in enhanced medical imaging opportunities in our communities.”The cost for all 3 machines as well as installation is $8.3 million. The funding will be provided by the province of BC, 3 regional hospital districts and Northern Health. 12 Out: Marko Arnautovic (Stoke) – £6.4m – Click the right arrow for more advice – In contrast, Stoke are a team who are currently on a far less impressive streak. The Potters have lost their last three matches 3-0 and main man Marko Arnautovic is still yet to score in 2016. In: Michail Antonio (West Ham) – £5.3m – Click the right arrow for more advice – Following his sensational volley against Liverpool in the FA Cup this week, nobody can deny that Antonio is currently on very good form. Perhaps you should strike while the IRON is hot and pick up this cheap midfielder immediately. In: Jesse Lingard (Manchester United) – £4.3m – Click the right arrow for more advice – Jesse Lingard is a bargain of a midfielder who is currently forcing his way into Louis van Gaals first team. With a price tag of just £4.3m, and two goals in two games, Lingard should be forcing his way on to your fantasy teams radar too. 12 Out: Odion Ighalo (Watford) – £6.3m – Click the right arrow for more advice – After being kept at bay by the defences of both Chelsea and Tottenham, Ighalo has now gone two games without a goal. Watford dont have the most straightforward upcoming set of fixtures either, so this might be the ideal time for you to free up one of your striker spots. Out: Bacary Sagna (Manchester City) – £5.7m – Click the right arrow for more advice – Citys first choice right-back Pablo Zabaleta returned from injury and took back his place in the starting XI last week. Unless the Argentinian suffers a recurrence, Bacary Sagna wont be a guaranteed starter for City again this season. In: Benik Afobe (Bournemouth) – £6.1m – Click the right arrow for more advice – It would be a risk, but if you were to replace Ighalo with Afobe this week, you could be heavily rewarded. Afobe has scored in three of his last four for the Cherries and will be looking to build on that record in his next few fixtures against Stoke, Watford and Southampton. 12 12 In: Virgil van Dijk (Southampton) – £5.4m – Click the right arrow for more advice – With FIVE consecutive clean sheets, Southampton defenders are hot property right now. The Saints face Swansea, Chelsea and Bournemouth in their next three fixtures and so have a good opportunity to continue their impressive streak. 12 Out: Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) – £9.1m – Click the right arrow for more advice – Its now been four games without a goal for Arsenals Olivier Giroud. With the amount of prolific strikers currently scoring goals from left right and centre across the Premier League you simply cannot justify having this £9m Frenchman in your front line! Sorry Arsenal fans! 12 Out: David Silva (Manchester City) – £9.9m – Click the right arrow for more advice – It is currently 50/50 as to whether David Silva will start against Tottenham on Sunday and, seeing as City dont have a match in the next gameweek anyway, this may be a gamble that isnt worth taking. 12 Out: Kurt Zouma (Chelsea) – £5.4m – Click the right arrow for more advice – Zouma will be out for the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury against Manchester United last Sunday. Its time to get him out of your teams. 12 12 12 After smashing Manchester City in their own back yard last weekend, Leicester City are now favourites to win the Premier League title. So, we can either dwell on this for eight hours and talk about how ‘we never thought we’d be saying these words’ or we can just accept this ridiculous new reality and get on with adjusting our Fantasy Premier League teams accordingly. As you’d expect Robert Huth’s heading heroics have earned him a mention this week, while Jamie Vardy also gets a recommendation despite getting just two points last week.Check out the Fantasy Premier League transfers you might need to make this week by clicking the right arrow above… In: Jamie Vardy (Leicester) – £7.4m – Click the right arrow for more advice – Ludicrously, Jamie Vardy didnt manage to get in on any of the goalscoring action at the Etihad last week. You still wouldnt bet against him to net at the Emirates on Sunday though, would you? In: Robert Huth (Leicester) – £4.5m – Click the right arrow for more advice – The newly crowned King of the Etihad is a must pick for your fantasy teams this week. Costing only £4.5m, Huth is a bargain and has some convenient home fixtures against Norwich and Villa coming up after this weeks trip to the Emirates. 12 12
Chaps rip 11 hits in home winBy Steve PilzMARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Chaparrals amateur baseball team got all the runs it would need in the first inning along with a strong starting stint by Ryan Metz on the mound to take a Dairyland League game 9-1 against the Abbotsford Merchants on Monday night at Jack Hackman Field. The win moves the Chaps a little closer to .500 at 6-7, and their Dairyland League record is now 4-5.The Chaps jumped all over Abby starter Jay Soyk in the first inning. Justin Rayburn stroked a one-out single, and Curtis Englebrecht walked. A passed ball and a walk got Rayburn to third, where he was driven in by a Sam Schwanebeck sacrifice fly to center.Luke Wirtz was next with an RBI triple, and he scored on a Lucius Messerschmidt single to right. Alex Steines reached on an error, and Jack Donahue walked. They moved up a base on a wild pitch, and Noah Panzer drove them both in to stake the Chaps to a 5-0 lead.Metz was tough on the hill, taking a no-hitter into the fourth. He left after seven scoreless innings, surrendering just three hits while striking out eight and walking one, a performance not overlooked by his manager.“Metz pitched well for us,” said Rayburn. “When his curveball is on, he’s tough to beat. He hit his spots tonight.”The Chaps added single runs in the second and third.Englebrecht hit a solo home run in the second, and the Chaps got an unearned run in the sixth after Messerschmidt singled again and scored on back-to-back errors by the Merchants.Bobby Pilz led off the Chaparrals’ eighth with a single and moved to second when Rayburn walked. A Web Developer’s New Best Friend is the AI Wai… richard macmanus Very interesting John Battelle-hosted conversation with Terry Semel, Yahoo CEO, at the conference. The difference between outlook and attitude between Semel and Barry Diller is stark. On the one hand, Diller’s conversation yesterday was very much old-media, 20th century thinking. Semel on the other hand very much impressed me with his take on what is required for 21st century media. I’ll write more detailed notes later, but here are some quick takeaways:– Yahoo! is both a media and tech company and Semel said *both* are required for a 21st C media company.– “Yahoo is all about content” –> user-generated, professional, and the future of what content may be (which Yahoo will try to take a leadership position in designing).– on competing with Diller. They will compete in some verticals, but Yahoo will have a much broader selection.– Y! is “creating a whole new experience” in media and Semel will judge Lloyd Braun on results in 12-18mths (i.e. not rushing to judgement)– Lot of interesting talk on Y! competing with Google. Semel says Google has done great with search, but they don’t have the pillars of Y! –> content, personalization, communications, shopping, etc.– even though Google is “starting to look like more of a portal” (referencing all the things Google is doing currently), Semel rates Google as the #4 portal.– mentions Google has lots of beta products and “so far don’t seem to have a real plan”– Y! monetizing better than Google, says Semel –> communications products and content are the 2 main forms of monetization– “we’ll always be more open than they [Google] are” –> Y! has/will have open platform; incl ability for people to publish on the Web– big change on the Internet; deeper engagement, more time spent, more user satisfaction– personalization, community, content on platforms, search –> Y! has “much richer experience” [than Goog search]qst from audience (Dare from MSN): what’s Y!’s biggest strength and competitors biggest weakness: Semel said Y! has much more diversified model, well-positioned for user-generated content, community, etc. Other companies [he meant Goog!] weakness is not positioning for that.Next qst re user-generated content. Semel said that user-generated content is “of utmost importance” to Y! – “gigantic piece of what we do”. He says “content in general is going to be more and more important”– new media requires new paradigms, going forward. And Y! won’t have to choose between user-generated and professional content – market/users will decide and Y!’s goal is to monetize as much as possible. 8 Best WordPress Hosting Solutions on the Market Related Posts Top Reasons to Go With Managed WordPress Hosting Why Tech Companies Need Simpler Terms of Servic… Tags:#conferences#web#Web 2.0 Conference 2005
