That’s what FAU’s head coach thinks, anyway. The Owls traveled to Norman to take on Oklahoma in a Week 1 showdown. The Sooners had their way with Kiffin’s team.Oklahoma beat FAU, 63-14, behind dazzling play by new quarterback Kyler Murray and some impressive defense.Kiffin said after the game that he would be “shocked” if anyone in college football is better than Oklahoma this season.“I’d be shocked if there’s a better team in the country than what I saw today,” Kiffin said. “Defense much improved, and obviously, that was their area of weakness last year.”After Kyler Murray led No. 7 Oklahoma past Florida Atlantic 63-14, Lane Kiffin had something to say:“I’d be shocked if there’s a better team in the country than what I saw today.”More from @cliffbruntAP: https://t.co/fU7BgAvGPD pic.twitter.com/4sH25NRkRr— AP Top 25 (@AP_Top25) September 2, 2018Kiffin’s old team, Alabama, would probably have something to say about that, but Oklahoma does look like a legitimate College Football Playoff contender. It’s only been one week, though.
